Kris Struyve

Kris Struyve, born and raised in Roeselare, started his career as a metalworker after his studies. With a passion for crafts and creativity, he is now active as a versatile handyman. In the evenings, Kris found a new challenge in the art world when he took evening classes in free ceramics at the Stedelijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (SASK) in Roeselare.

Although he excelled at making pottery, he soon felt the urge to do more with ceramics. In his second year, he began experimenting with ceramic rods, a technique that allowed a deeper expression of his artistic vision. This year, he successfully completed his training.

Kris has participated in prestigious events such as the 89 Art International Ceramics Biennial and the Glass and Ceramics Biennial in Haacht. However, his ambitions extend further: he wants to keep evolving and combine his ceramic works with wire, to explore new forms and structures and continuously expand his artistic horizons.
